Preach My Gospel

I just have to say something about this book. I love it. It has really opened up my understanding to the true basic doctrine of the church. This is the fairly new book that missionaries use on their mission to preach the gospel. Hence the name "preach my gospel". But it is also great for personal study or teaching in family home evening or other primary/ young womens etc. I love using it for my own study because it breaks down the gospel into such simple truths. We are going to focus on reading this as a presidency in Young Womens and make sure that our girls understand the basic truths. I'm so excited about it. I've read parts of it before, but everytime I study it I learn new things. What is also great about this is it really teaches you how to study the scriptures and in most sections it gives you scriptures to study or memorize or read. Also by reading this, I feel like I could easily approach someone discuss the basic doctrines of our church. I just think it's a great book, and I'm excited to study more of it. There is so much to learn!!

LOTS of cookie dough....

Just this last week our young women's group did a fundraiser for girls camp. we made cookie dough right before mothers day and sold it to people in the ward who wanted some. It was such a success that we didn't quite get all the cooking of the cookie dough done and I was the one that volunteered to finish the job. It was really funny how much cookie dough I made. I woke up at 7 am and just went as fast as I could making all of it all day long. Some girls did come over and help me with part of it and that was a huge relief. but guess how many dozen cookies i made in one day? Just over 30 dozens of cookies. that was about 10 different double and some triple batches of cookies. it was great!!! here are some girls that came and helped!

parker loved it because guess what he got for breakfast and lunch.... cookie dough!!!

Banana Bites!

OK, Parker loves bananas, he has 1 sometimes 2 a day!! And so I thought that Parker was getting old enough to carry around the banana and take some bites. Well, he definitely took some bites... And this was the result. Oops! We'll have to work on that one... My sister Cayla was with us this weekend, she is so much fun! We loved having her in our home!

Things that go...

Its amazing how boys really are attracted to things like trucks and machines and things that make noise. And Parker is no exception! He loves them!

Dad let Parker help with the lawn mower this weekend. He loved it!
love the smile on this one...priceless
